# Generate a post

Queues a job that drafts a changelog, blog post, LinkedIn post or X post from recent GitHub and Linear activity in the brand's voice.

Note: Returns a `jobId`; poll `get_post_generation_status` (`GET /v1/posts/generate/{jobId}`) until the draft is ready. `lookback` picks the activity window, from `current_day` to `last_30_days`.

## Set up

Use the first option your agent supports.

Before anything else, confirm access with the cheapest read-only call, like a list or a search. Never send or change anything to test access.

## Rules

- Ask the user before anything that sends messages, costs money, or changes data, and say how many records it touches. One approval covers a batch the user has seen.
- Never print API keys.
