# Enrich a company

Returns a company's profile — funding, headcount, web traffic and traction — matched by domain, LinkedIn, Crunchbase or another external identifier.

Note: A company not yet in Harmonic's system returns a 404 with an enrichment ID; poll the enrichment status endpoint until it resolves instead of treating the 404 as no match.

## Set up

Use the first option your agent supports.

### API (official)

- Base URL: https://api.harmonic.ai

- Auth: send the header `apikey: $HARMONIC_API_KEY`

Before anything else, confirm access with the cheapest read-only call, like a list or a search. Never send or change anything to test access.

## Rules

- Ask the user before anything that sends messages, costs money, or changes data, and say how many records it touches. One approval covers a batch the user has seen.
- Never print API keys.
