# Search people

Returns professional profiles and employment history matching role, seniority, department, employer and location filters.

Note: Costs 2 credits per person returned, with a 2-credit minimum; education expansion adds 1 credit per person. Returns up to 100 per page and 10,000 through pagination; use scroll for more. Results exclude emails and phone numbers; work email lookup is separate.

Use the first option your agent supports.

Before anything else, confirm access with the cheapest read-only call, like a list or a search. Never send or change anything to test access.

## Rules

- Ask the user before anything that sends messages, costs money, or changes data, and say how many records it touches. One approval covers a batch the user has seen.
- Never print API keys.
